Surrounded by a multitude of fruit trees and proudly standing olive trees. Birds and butterflies are as captivated as we are, just close your eyes and listen to the harmony of nature, the gentle hum of the bumble bee as she busies herself collecting her daily quota of the abundant pollen for her sweet honey, the sunlight as it plays with the gentle breeze sending dancing shadow on the walls and diamonds in the pool. In these blissful surroundings it is hard to imagine that you are only a fifteen minute drive to bustling Skopelos Town.

This delightful house set above Daphne Kalivi has its own private driveway which is approached from above and offers superb seclusion. Built into the hillside, a main feature is the magnificent spreading chestnut tree that shades the left hand terrace in front of the house. There is another terrace to the side, covered by dried ferns, which give a lovely dappled shade. Set back slightly is the rustic barbecue with a characteristic open fronted ‘fournos’ or oven style grill. A discreet swimming pool lies just beyond, with peaceful views over the valley.

The interior of the house is always cool and comfortable, even in the height of summer. There is an open plan living/dining room which has a kitchen area to one side and a bathroom with shower to the other. An open staircase leads up to a gallery bedroom. The master double bedroom is to one side and opens out onto the covered terrace. The cottage is only five minute drive to the main road that runs from Skopelos Town around the coast to Panormos and the spectacular pine forests of the north side of the island to Glossa, yet feels remote and utterly peaceful.
