One of the most fascinating aspects of Skiathos is its abundance of captivating beaches. In fact, with over sixty scattered around the stunning coastline it is hardly surprising that the island is justly famous for its beaches. Set just above Vassilias beach and surrounded by woodland in the hamlet of Katsarou is the beautiful Kivo Hotel. Magnificently situated in an outstanding position it enjoys some of the most spectacular views of the coastline and Skiathos Town. The Kivo is a dream come true for Toula an interior designer and her husband Andonis an architect who acquired the hotel in 2007 transforming it into a truly unique creation.

The prime colours of the Kivo are the pristine white of the Aegean and blue of the sea and sky. Toula’s eye for detail is evident throughout the hotel with little touches that add to the sophistication and serenity of this special haven they have created. The design is contemporary, using the best traditional materials and craftsmanship to create a unique ambience that is both refined yet totally relaxing. The elegant air-conditioned rooms and suites have been designed with fabrics and fittings to reflect the essence of the Aegean. At the heart of the Kivo is the spacious restaurant serving mouth-watering local and international dishes with an extensive wine menu. One can enjoy all meals either al fresco on the attractive terrace overlooking the sea. No detail has been spared in an effort to make your stay here an unforgettable experience.

Although you may find it difficult to tear yourself away from this oasis of calm, the Kivo is perfectly located for exploring the verdant countryside. Vassilias beach is not more than a five minute drive. We have included a hire car to make other beaches more accessible, the world famous Koukounaries is about twenty minutes drive and Skiathos town is ten minutes by car.
