There have been many civilisations laying claim for Paxos, from the Romans, Normans, Venetians, Ottomans and even Napoleonic France, each leaving its mark on the island. Its difficult to see Paxos was an island at war given the laid back relaxed nature of many of its inhabitants. In fact, legend has it that Poseidon struck Corfu with his trident causing its southernmost tip to break off to become a separate island, an island that became his ‘love nest’ to conduct an affair with the nymph, Amphitrite, hidden from his jealous wife. The trident of Poseidon remains the symbol of Paxos and its very easy to discover why he chose Paxos for his relaxation haven.

Centrally located the villa is an ideal base for the short hops to the beach or to the wonderful harbours of Loggos and even Gaios, whereas the local taverna in Fontana, an eighteen minute walk away offering mouth watering dishes in a very Paxiot environment. Built by Panos also the owner of the nearby grand Olive Grove House, the villa has been sympathetically built to blend into its Paxiot surroundings and to keep as much of the local nature and olive trees as part of its grounds as possible.

Pano’s House is ideal for couples, families, large groups and for those looking for a private villa set in the wonderful cover of the olive groves. Yet Pano’s House has one surprise in that it has sea views that go out over the eastern coastline towards the Greek mainland with the imposing Epiros mountains in the distance. Externally the pool area spreads out in front of the villa, with spacious terracing, ideal for sunbathing with plentiful natural shade to escape the midday sun. The living areas lead out onto this terrace including the three bedrooms, one twin and two doubles. The open plan living/dining room and well equipped kitchen complete the property with its high ceiling which gives the house an airy spacious and cool feel.

Pano’s House offers you everything that is great about Paxos, stunning views, peace, tranquility and a property that fully blends in with its natural surroundings.
