Parga Villas

Quiet country roads lead up through wooded river valleys into the heart of the Pindos Mountains, where little has changed for centuries. It is said that the finest Feta cheese in all of Greece comes from these mountains and a little exploration off the beaten track will almost certainly lead to a traditional taverna next to a quiet village plateia, a corner of Greece that remains today as it was when a young Patrick Leigh Fermor travelled through the region on foot before the last war, described so graphically in his book, Roumeli.
