views over the town and bay from its many terraces. As if this privileged location wasnt tempting enough, the
villa is owned by local Spiros and his wife Yianna, who runs a wonderful shop in the town selling her own and
other local artists work. Their influence is evident throughout this special villa, with carefully chosen art objects
adding further charm and personality.
Villa Raches is approached by a rough track from the main road, assuring privacy. From the main entrance
you come into the spacious open plan living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen, which, in spite of modern
creature comforts retains an authentic character. Mellow earth coloured floor tiles, a natural exposed stone wall
and high traditional pitched and beamed ceiling create an inviting atmosphere.
An attractive flight of dark wooden stairs in the lounge leads up to the two sea facing bedrooms. Both have
their own shower rooms, are attractively furnished in dark wood and open out onto their own balcony with
spectacular views. Thanks to Villa Raches elevated position a pleasant sea breeze keeps the property cool
even in the height of summer.
There are wonderful country walks close by, but the villas tranquil setting also makes it perfect for those who
wish to spend time relaxing with a good book and a bottle of wine by the pool. In fact the only time you might
want to tear yourself away from the poolside and its gorgeous views is to prepare a BBQ on the side terrace,
perfect for those al fresco meals.
