Completed in 2010 to a high specification, this is a new venture for the Zigouris family who have been running hotels as a family business since 1884 when their first hotel, the renowned Acropol Hotel, was opened. The Salvator Hotel is made up of modern and stylish suites within the main building and four superb two bedroomed villas each with their own pool set in their own landscaped gardens above the main part of the hotel.

The hotel was named after Archduke Ludwig Salvator, the famous explorer, who was also a keen lover of nature and preservation. The location is convenient for exploring the historic city of Ioannina, gateway to the magnificent Pindos and Zagori Ranges – this is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful parts of Greece. The Pindos Mountains, which appear to cut off this coast from the rest of the mainland, are well worth spending some time visiting – virtually untouched by the speed of modern living, these scattered agricultural communities in the green valleys offer a fascinating glimpse into a way of life that remains unchanged to this day.
