Villa Mahera

Vlichos or Tranquillity Bay, is well named, a true haven as any yachtsman will confirm. Nidri, on the opposite shore of the bay, is a bustling harbour and small resort, but here, sheltered by a wooded hillside, the small peninsula of Geni is another world altogether; a world of lemon, orange and olive orchards, a few waterside tavernas, tranquillity and the delightful Villa Mahera.

Set in landscaped gardens, with its own jetty and an elegant private swimming pool, shaded terrace and balcony, this comfortable three bedroomed villa has to be the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of everyday working life. Five minutes away by car is the beautiful Desimi Beach, with its crystal clear water perfect for snorkelling. By contrast, lively Nidri, with its wide selection of shops and tavernas and a distinctly nautical atmosphere is only fifteen minutes away.

The town is also on the main road that runs parallel to the coast from Lefkas Town to Vasiliki Bay and beyond to the west, which not only provides easy access to the many picturesque inlets and bays of this sheltered southern coast, but also makes exploration of the high valleys of the White Mountains and the spectacular Adriatic coast beyond very straightforward.

Waterfront houses of this quality are very few and far between, but when combined with this amazing and convenient setting, the Villa Mahera is very special indeed.
