" Spring on Lefkada really is a wonderful spectacle you can see the island coming alive before your very eyes. I love this time of year as there is very few people about, the beaches are empty and as its not too hot for my afternoon walk. Lefkada has lots of fabulous beaches to choose from but my personal favourite is Agios Ioannis on the west coast, sandy and the water is a mixture of deep blue and turquoise. Perfect for my daily morning swim and there's no one about! Idyllic"

"Lefkada has a huge choice of waterside villages like Perigiali with lots of choice of tavernas serving the catch of the day. But head inland to the less touristy villages like Tskoukalades and you'll find some hidden tavernas where I've had some of the best Mousakka I've ever eaten. Lefkada Town it gets busy, in the evenings, so i get there early to enjoy a strole through the walkways lined with tavernas offering a diverse range of international cuisine, plenty of boutiques and quaint souvenir shops, where is usually pick up a gift to bring home for the grandchildren.”
