There is also a covered seating area to one side which faces the sea, an ideal place to escape the sun with a good book or simply admire the scenery! Location
Superbly located, the unspoilt Trapezaki Beach is a long stretch of golden sand and is within 20 minutes stroll of Villa Mare. Close by the villa is a local taverna and well stocked mini market, should you wish venture further, the pretty village of Lourdas with its waterside tavernas and shops is just a short drive away. For the those interested in the culture and history of the island, a visit to the Mazarakata tombs, Monasteries of St Andrew and St Gerasimos are only a 30 minute’ drive, a perfect day out for all.
Water sports are available at Lourdas Bay in high season and include jet skiing and kayaking. Organised day trips to the neighbouring islands of Ithaka and Zante can be booked locally. Horse and donkey riding are available on the outskirts of Sami, about an hour's drive from the villa.
