Location

Afissos, a charming village and harbour, is renowned for its crystal-clear seas and stunning beaches. Steeped in mythology, it's said that Jason and his Argonauts halted here for fresh water before embarking on their legendary quest for the Golden Fleece. The village proudly celebrates its legendary status with the summer-long 'Argonauticos' shows and festivities. Named after Hariklo and Cheiron's daughter, Okiroy, who was transformed into a horse by Apollo for her prophetic abilities.

Nearby are two pebble beaches, Lagoudi and Abovos, alongside the blue flag beach of Kalifteri, boasting a mix of sand and shingle. These beaches offer an array of watersports during peak season and picturesque coastal trails. The peninsula's landscape is a captivating blend of magical forests shading Mount Pelion's slopes, terraced orchards and olive groves cascading down to the sparkling turquoise Aegean Sea.
