Spalathra Seaview Suites

Steeped in ancient ruins and mythical tales of the Gods with a magical rustic charm is the beautiful mountainous region known as the Pelion Peninsula. This unspoilt area is blessed with sun-bleached beaches, turquoise waters all overshadowed by Mount Pelion watching over the gentle Pagasitic Gulf.

As you drive along the coastal road past many of the waterside villages you arrive at the small hamlet of Horto. The architecture of the houses is really unique here, white houses combined with traditional stone and wooded framed windows. It’s here just outside the village we arrive at the stunning Spalathra Seaview Suites, meticulously designed in an exceptionally modern chic style that blends in beautifully with its natural surrounds. The accommodation consists of two spacious studios and two beautiful maisonettes all with sea facing breath-taking views and sharing a sensational infinity pool.

The ground and first floor studios sleep two guests and are identical in layout with the exception of the upper floor which has a balcony whilst the ground floor has a terrace. The maisonettes sleep three with an upstairs master suite and a double sofa bed in the downstairs living area.  All of the accommodation is open plan and has been finished to an exceptional high standard with ultra-modern fitted kitchens and chic stylish furnishings throughout.  Outside the Spalathra Seaview Suites grounds are beautifully designed in local stone with numerous choices of seating areas overlooking the sea for those moments of total reflection.

Horto itself is a quiet tranquil village with a handful of family run tavernas, a bakery combined mini-market and a small beach all within walking distance. The beauty of a holiday here is not only the spectacular accommodation you’ll be staying in but also the location which is much undiscovered and is ripe for exploration. Travel south to the waterside village of Milina with its tavernas and shops for a taverna lunch or to stock up on supplies. Travel north to the villages of Lefkokastro or Kala Nera for more choice or go further inland for villages that take you a step back in time, Neoxori or Lafkos. However, in our opinion the Pelion is best explored by sea. Hire a boat and visit the enchanting Trikeri Island, drop anchor for dolphin spotting or find your very own hidden cove for a day of utter relaxation in some of the most natural surrounds you can find in Greece. If anyone of the party has an interest in Steam Trains, head to Ano Lechonia and take a ride on the 100year old train lovingly restored by local enthusiasts. The train will take you through valleys, gorges and waterfalls before arriving at the village of Milies, a traditional village high on Mt Pelion, enjoy lunch and pick up a souvenir or two to remind you of your visit, before heading back.
