The lane leading south out of Fiskardo hugs the idyllic tree-lined Foki Bay before winding up through a cypress forest to the historic settlement of Matsoukata. Villa Arozza stands behind a gateway leading into a paved courtyard with colourful flowerbeds shaded by an ancient olive tree.

The terraces allow an almost eagle eye view across the tree tops to the Ithaka Channel and Mount Neritos beyond, itself a nesting site for the rare golden eagle.
