Villa Eos

In a slightly elevated picturesque setting on Ithaka’s east coast, is where we find Villa Eos, a pretty stone built two-bedroom villa with its own pool nestling in the verdant countryside on this scenic Greek island.  

The villa combines beautifully, the traditional design of a stone cottage with vibrant bright interiors and is most definitely a welcoming space in which to unwind, it’s a perfect choice for a small family or group of friends.  The stylish open plan living room is filled with comfortable modern furnishings to ensure your stay here is a relaxing one together with a good sized fully fitted kitchen and dining area to enjoy meals inside, if you wish.  On this level, the sleeping quarters are equally as thoughtfully furnished. A family bathroom and two bedrooms, a double ensuite and twin-bedded room both with French doors that open out onto stone terraces with expansive views of the countryside and beyond.

Villa Eos’s grounds include an inviting infinity pool surrounded by perfectly positioned sunbeds to take advantage not only of warm Greek sun but of course your glorious views, an umbrella is provided for shade. If you enjoy dining alfresco, the built-in BBQ is an idyllic spot in which to cook up delicious meals whilst at the same time enjoying the peacefulness of your villa’s surroundings. In addition to the BBQ, there is an outside Pizza/Bread oven, so why not put your baking skills to the test, during your stay.

You set the pace of life here on Ithaka, it can be as busy or as calm as you wish. For those who like to explore there are plenty of places to visit, such as the Monastery of Kathara, Rizes Cave or the inland village of Stavros, with its pretty square and architecturally outstanding dwellings of the rich merchants from previous centuries. Why not hire a motorboat and create your own adventure by searching for one of the bays only accessible by sea. Bring your snorkelling gear to discover craggy coves of which there are plenty. Beaches here are within easy reach with Kaminia less than a five-minute drive or further along the coast are the pretty beaches of Filatro or Sarakiniko.

The island of Ithaka still enjoys a laid-back atmosphere but don’t be fooled by this gentle pace of life. A short drive brings you to the island’s bustling capital of Vathy with its fabulous waterside tavernas, perfect for long lazy lunches or simply to pick up supplies for your BBQ, Pizza and bread making. Museums, caves, Ithaka has it all!
