Villa Hector

Meganisi is simply magical, there is something very special about this island it’s almost like stepping back in time. It hasn’t lost one ounce of its authenticity despite being so close to the larger Ionian islands. In fact, the island is still renowned for its “Philoxenia” which translates from Greek to friendliness to strangers – nothing much has changed here over the decades. In the heart of the island is the quaint hamlet of Katomeri and its just outside the village in a superb hillside location we find our newly built Villa Hector.

It's evident throughout, this is an exceptional villa which has been designed combining classic contemporary décor with sumptuous fabrics and charming traditional touches to create a beautiful, elegant home.  This spacious modern villa is open-plan with a large lounge/kitchen dining area overlooking the pool and extensive views of the glistening Ionian sea and beyond. The three stylish bedrooms are all ensuite and each have their own private verandah.

The superb design follows outside too, on the terrace the infinity pool appears to melt into the dazzling blue horizon with an expansive pergola furnished with comfy sofas for those moments of utter relaxation.  Villa Hector boasts it’s own well-equipped summer kitchen which includes a large BBQ, fridge and yes even a dishwasher thus ensuring outdoor living is a joy both day and night. This really is alfresco living at its finest!  

Setting Villa Hector apart, it has its own direct private access to the sea, so it really is up to you when you take a swim in the dazzling Ionian Sea.

We understand it may be very hard to leave Villa Hector but if you must then stroll through the village of Katomeri with its white-washed houses, colourful gardens and traditional charm. There is a mini-market here and a bakery plus a couple of tavernas. Amble downhill to the capital Vathy with its traditional waterside tavernas ideal for a long lazy lunch or perhaps an early evening pre-dinner cocktail in one of the many café bars that line the harbour. Meganisi is perfect for walking, dining out or perhaps a spot of people watching. Hire a boat, pack a picnic and marvel at magnificent Meganisi from the sea, find your own private beach, drop anchor and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. What could be more perfect!
