Villa Nereus

We are thrilled to welcome the charming Villa Nereus to our ever popular collection of villas on Ithaka. Traditionally designed this beautiful stone-built villa will delight its guests with its modern spacious interior, exceptional outside space and those never-ending views we all long for.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa sleeps up to four guests in comfort and style. You enter Villa Nereus into a large open-plan living area with comfy sofas, a feature fireplace and dining space with a well-equipped kitchen. The décor is modern and tastefully contemporary with high-beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls to ensure the ambiance is a truly relaxing one.

All on one level the bedrooms are spacious, cool and designed to maximise your comfort during your stay. There are two bedrooms, a double with ensuite, a twin and separate bathroom. French doors from the living area and bedrooms all lead out onto terraces offering spectacular views over the treetops that drift down to the dazzling Ionian sea!

Outside the gardens are awash with native trees, colourful plants and shrubs which surround this exceptional villa.  Stone terraces border the good sized pool with sunbeds perfectly placed to simply lie back, relax and enjoy this stunning setting.  A built-in BBQ and outside dining area is the perfect place to enjoy alfresco meals anytime of the day.

A holiday here really does offer you the best of both coast and country. Firstly, you can enjoy the breath-taking Ithakian countryside in which Villa Nereus is set with its green lush forests, tall cypress trees swaying in the gentle breeze and endless olive trees glistening in the sunshine. Then we have the coast, a mere 5 minute drive or 25minute walk to Kaminia beach or go a little further and you reach Filatro, considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on Ithaka.

If you like exploring,  the island is a mere 27km in length which means you can discover the inland village of Stavros or coastal towns such as Frikes and Kioni with ease.  Ithaka may be small in size but it certainly packs a punch with things to do. Hire a motor boat for the day and find your own beach, but don’t forget to bring a picnic and if you enjoy snorkelling there are plenty beaches perfect for this pastime. Visit the Monastery of Kathara or explore Rizes Cave,  Museums dedicated to the islands archaeological and Naval history can be found in Vathy and Stavros. The islands capital Vathy, is a short drive away with its inviting waterside tavernas, shops and bars, everything is close at hand when you stay at Villa Nereus.
