The island of Lefkada has so much to offer and is an ideal holiday destination for everyone. Crystal clear turquoise waters, magnificent mountains and verdant countryside combined with a variety of activities as well as a vast array of restaurants both modern and traditional guarantee there is something for everyone, young and old for those seeking a relaxing summer break or a more active getaway, Lefkada is the island that has it all.

Villas Votsalo and Akrogiali stand next door to each other as do Villas Thalassa and Flisvos, all are located on a steep hillside overlooking the sea. Bright flowers and shrubs soften the natural rocky terracing and slopes, which, combined with the surrounding olive groves create colourful scene descending into the deep blue sea. Quite breathtaking!

You enter into the bright and spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area on the first floor. Immediately, your eyes are drawn to the living area where large French windows open onto a furnished verandah and that magnificent sea view. It is without doubt that the view is the main focus in these villas, light streams in from all angles taking full advantage of all aspects of the surrounding panorama. A WC/cloakroom is also conveniently on this floor.

Stairs take you down to the two bedrooms. On the ground floor is a small hallway where a cupboard below the stairs houses a washing machine. The main double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath/shower. The view from the bedroom is stunning as directly in front large French windows open onto a patio with the sea and mountains ahead. The second bedroom is a twin and has en-suite shower room. French doors open out onto a pretty shaded patio area. Both bedrooms are light, bright and comfortably furnished.

The pool is in a sunny position beside the villas, with sun loungers on the patio and a gentle natural shade provided by the adjacent olive and lemon trees and is such a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a good book or simply watching the yachts and boats on the bay. Al fresco living is a priority on the islands so the large barbecue area is going to be a favourite dining place.

The sea views from here are quite outstanding. Overlooking the picturesque bay of Desimi on the eastern coast of Lefkada reaching out as far as the islands of Meganisi, Thilia and to the mountains of mainland Greece beyond. One cannot help but be mesmerized by the patterns made on the water as boats and yachts pass through the bay. It is certainly worth waking early and taking breakfast al fresco to catch the sun as she rises magnificently over the mountains, spreading its light and warmth out to the mirror like sea below you.
