Kylistri Villas

Heading north towards Fiskardo on the main coastal road, you arrive at the quaint village of Magganos, with its handful of fabulous tavernas serving diverse cuisine, a mini market and a grocery store with its dazzling colourful display of local produce. Turn left here and head west on the road towards Alaties Beach and in 300m or so, you arrive at a trio of spectacular new houses called the Kylistiri Villas. Two two-bedroom villas and a one-bedroom house.

These exquisite villas have been magnificently crafted in Venetian style typical of the island using traditional local craftsman, so they blend in beautifully with the natural surrounds. Spacious rooms with high ceilings and large picture windows ensure that everyone can enjoy the magnificent, panoramic sea views and spectacular sunsets from inside or outside the villa. Throughout the properties, guests can enjoy modern comforts including open plan living/dining areas with fully equipped, stylish kitchens perfect for rustling up meals, if you so wish.  The décor is contemporary with elegant furnishings in cool, neutral tones. Built on one level, the inviting double and twin bedrooms are beautifully appointed and are bright, airy spaces full of natural light, each having their own modern shower rooms.   

One of the many highlights of these villas are the fabulous stone terraces, where one can enjoy time-out in the infinity pool admiring the views, and a day of blissful relaxation on the sunbeds. When it’s lunchtime, perhaps the chef in the family will relish preparing an al fresco lunch of grilled Greek delights on the BBQ, for all to devour under the shade of the outdoor dining area. Settle down for the evening on the terrace by the pool with something cool in hand to marvel at the ever-changing colours of the sky, whilst the sun gently dips on the distant horizon!  

For beach enthusiasts, a short drive will bring you to the shores of Alaties and slightly further along the coast is Agia Jerusalem, lovely pristine beaches with turquoise waters lapping the shoreline, remarkably quiet even in the height of summer. Other beaches such as Dafnoudi and Emblisi with their white pebbles and clear waters. are also just a short drive away.

For the explorers, Magganos has everything you need to enjoy the real Greek experience but if you fancy venturing further, the villas are perfect located for discovering Kefalonia.  Head north to the pretty harbour village of Fiskardo with its yacht filled harbour front, lined with a plethora of eateries, tavernas, bars and restaurants, take a walk up to the Lighthouse or the recently discovered ruins of a Roman Burial Ground, it really is fascinating.  Drive south and you pass by hamlets unchanged in decades, visit the capital Argostoli for a spot of shopping in the pedestrianised streets. Head further south and you come to the Melissani & Drogarati Caves, well worth a visit, or enjoy an afternoon swim at one of the pretty sandy beaches at Lourdas, Trapezaki or Skala.

There is much to see and do on this magnificent Ionian Island, but whatever you choose, your stay at Kylistiri Villas is sure create lasting memories that will forever keep calling you back!
